Who is Derik Zoo?

Derik has been performing professionally since he was 22 years old, making his name at Vaudeville Cafe in Chattanooga, TN. For the last 8 years, Zoo has been working for the amazing Dolly Parton at her dinner attractions: First at Dolly Parton's Stampede in Branson, MO, where he was voted Comedian of the Year two years in a row. In 2023, Zoo got to come home and work at the Stampede in Pigeon Forge. In 2024, he was able to make the jump full time to Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud, where he currently stars as the Mayor. 

Since he was a little boy, Derik has been in front of people telling stories. His first "claim to fame" was stealing the show in a storytelling contest in sixth grade. It's been all he's done since. Now he makes his living traveling the country telling stories about himself or through the sport of pro wrestling. Really living the dream. 

Derik got on stage and told his first joke on July 2, 2011, and has been addicted to stand-up comedy ever since. He doesn't get to travel telling jokes as much as he would like, but still enjoys having the opportunity to make people laugh when he can. To see Derik in person, check his tour schedule.
